Are you offended by that statement? I'm sorry, but it's true! And I can’t over-emphasis it enough, either. I’m not saying you don’t need artistic ability to be successful, but you can be a brilliant artist and still starve to death. That's no fun! The fact is that your financial success or failure hinges on one thing and one thing only - your ability to market yourself. Yes, I'm fully aware that the word "market" or "marketing" are poison words in some quarters. Some artists view this as crass commercialism and feel that their work is diminished in some way if it has to hawked like refrigerators or bug spray. Personally, I found it defeating, to say the least, to toil away at my craft only to find that no one wanted to buy what I created. Where's the nobility in that? In short, I'd rather be successful - wildly successful! How about you? How can I avoid failure and attain the success I dream about? Hi! My name is Jerry Schuster. And over the next, few paragraphs, I hope to provide you with a glimpse of what can be. I want to introduce you to concepts that are nothing short of life-altering. When I decided I would like to start making a living as an artist, I concentrated on turning out the best work that I could. I then tried to sell that artwork. Talk about a rude awakening! After busting my buns all over town and getting a ho-hum response everywhere I went, I returned home a whipped and defeated person. I went back to the drawing board (literally) to refine my techniques. If I were a better artist, it stands to reason that I would sell more. Right? Ha! I had even worse luck. It was then that I realized that if I didn't do something drastic - and soon - my dream of making a high-income living as an artist was going up in smoke. That frustration sent me down a path of discovery that has been nothing short of miraculous. What I discovered was that it is nearly impossible for the average (or above average and even outstanding) artist to obtain the success they desire relying on the normal channels of distribution. Been there, done that. It doesn't work! Ok, so it does work on rare occasions; sort of like getting struck by lightning. We see it happen to other people and wonder why it doesn't happen that way for us. It happens, alright, but so rarely that the chances of you and I finding success through normal channels are two - slim and none. Are you going to wait around hoping for lightning to strike? Have you heard that old saying, "No one will look after your money like you will"? That same concept holds true with your career as an artist. A gallery acts in their own self interest. Same with a broker or anyone else you entrust with your career. They have no stake, whatsoever, in your success or failure. Usually the only time these people can be of real use to you is when you've finally made it. Now, when you really don't need them any more, they come calling and wanting in on the action. It was with this realization that my search for the solution really began. I knew that I must learn - had to learn - how to sell my work in a large enough quantity and at a high enough price that I couldn't possibly fail. Does such a solution really exist? Absolutely, positively, unequivocally, YES! I wouldn't be writing this to you if it were not so. Was the journey easy? Nope! I can't even begin to tell you how many blind alleys I ventured into. I read a whole lot of information put out by so-called "experts" that lead to absolutely nowhere. If this subject is of interest to you, you've no doubt read and tried the same things that I did - with the same dismal and disappointing results. And the money I wasted!! Holy cow, it makes me sick to think of the thousands - tens of thousands - of dollars that I just threw away. And countless hours trying to make one plan after another work for me. I figured that if I threw enough money against the wall, and put enough time in on it, something had to stick. Didn't it? Bull! It was like beating my head against a brick wall. Given enough time, maybe I'd break through, but in the meantime I was getting beat to a bloody pulp. And so, the road to success began Along the way, however, I began to assemble some really useful information - bits and pieces from here and there. Slowly, painstakingly, I began to assemble the pieces of the puzzle. What emerged was a system that was practically guaranteed to propel me to success. Here and there a piece of the puzzle would fall into place. And like most puzzles, the farther into solving it that I got, the faster it all came together. Then there was this blinding moment when I realized that I had it. I can't begin to tell you how good that feels. To know that you've unlocked the secret of controlling your own destiny. To know that no person can ever again dictate to you what you can and cannot do. To know that there is, now, no limit on the height of success that you can attain. It's absolutely glorious! OK, so it works for me, but will it work for you? Here's a disclaimer that I think is very important for you to hear. This is not a get-rich-quick scheme. If you want a super-easy, one step solution that takes little, if any work on your part, I suggest that you stop reading right now. This is not for you. If it were that easy, lot's of people would have thought of it and run it into the ground by now. But the fact is that there are strategies you can apply that absolutely will work. And they'll work for you at whatever level of skill that you're at. Well OK, obviously, it makes this process easier if you have some real talent. But the fact is that I've watched artists of fairly modest talent (students of mine) become quite successful.
This also serves as the introduction to the Business Development For Artists course. The fact is, that most artists simply have no idea why they aren't successful - at least financially, that is. They have some kind of idea of how they think selling their art should work. But mostly, they aren't even certain about that. The message of this DVD is guaranteed to be a real eye-opener for you. You'll see the total fallacy of following all the techniques that are espoused by the art community. As the title indicates, the first step toward understanding how to succeed is to have a clear understanding of why the vast majority of artists never become successful. Special Marketing Report
Included All of this is information that you absolutely MUST have in order to succeed. Oh, I'll acknowledge that some artists do actually succeed with the old methods. But if you're honest with yourself, you'll admit that it's so rare that your odds of getting struck by lightning are considerably higher.
And by the way, having a successful career doesn't always mean that it must be full-time, either. Many of my students are retired, or semi-retired and all they want is a part-time career that gives them freedom - freedom to travel, to live where they want to, or simply to make their enjoyable hobby pay them well. Whatever your definition of success is, that's what you can make it. Whether you decide to make use of the knowledge you gain from this ridiculously low cost information, or to make the larger commitment of attending the class, your life will never be the same. Now let's take a look at what the class is all about: Business Development For Artists What this course is, is a blueprint upon which you can build your empire. It will take some work on your part. But I'll give you every shortcut that I've found and every resource that works. If you follow the plan through to its conclusion, I don't see how you can fail at it. And the results can set you up for life. That means a never-ending demand for your artwork. It means never having to worry whether or not you'll be able to pay the bills. Isn't that worth it?
I wish I would have had this
information when I started my long journey to success. It would have a
saved me a whole lot of time, trouble, and money. But that's life!
It's here now and I'm ready to share it with you.
Now, I want to share the secrets I've learned with you. I turned my business around, BIG TIME. And you can, too. It's all about understanding who your buyers are and how to reach them. But it's also about finding your own place in the scheme of things. Here's a special Bonus DVD A new way of painting.
Faster! Better!
|
| Here are the characteristics of
TruPaint™ that
are so important to you as an artist: Speed: Simply stated, the faster you can paint, the more work you can create. Even a little faster makes all the difference in the world. But 10 times faster? Wow! That gives you a huge marketing advantage. You can keep your prices where they are, but sell many more paintings. Or, you can lower prices to be more competitive, and still make more profit on each painting. But bear in mind, speed is worthless if you can’t also paint at a very high level of excellence. Speed plus excellence is a winning combination. Accuracy: Getting the details right is important in every painting. But most of my works are portraits and that’s what I feature in the course. It’s not that TruPaint is restricted to portraiture. It’s just that in that venue, every detail must be extremely precise. It can't be pretty close. It has to be 100%, exactly perfect. Anything short of that is simply not acceptable. If you can paint at that level, you can paint anything. So, even if your focus is still life or landscapes, the ability to get important details nailed to perfection is an absolute necessity. Ability to Experiment: Painting in the traditional manner has some serious restrictions. For instance, if you've spent a lot of time creating your painting, but you're wondering if it could be improved by trying something a bit different, you're going to hesitate. After all, if it doesn't work out, you've just destroyed everything you worked so hard to create. But when you have total freedom to experiment without losing where you're at, you'll try a lot of things. That means that you learn what works a lot, LOT faster. It makes you bold. And that makes you a better artist. You’ll be amazed at how fast your skills will develop. Control: This is what really surprises most artists. They think they will be giving up creative control to some dumb computer program. Well nothing is further from the truth. If you can see it in your mind's eye, you can paint it. Nothing is out of bounds. You have complete artistic control over every aspect of the painting. If we didn't have this, I'd abandon it, myself. This is so crucial to turning out great artwork that it is in the "MUST HAVE" category. |
